Belgrade - Day 01
Arrive at Belgrade. Upon arrival at Nikola Tesla International Airport, you will be met and greeted at airport by our local representative & will be transfer to hotel, rest of the day at leisure. European but with oriental influences, Belgrade is a great weekend break, with tons of interesting sights and attractions, splendid architecture, a fast-paced nightlife, great and affordable shopping, as well as a thriving cultural scene. As one of Europe’s oldest cities, located at the crossroads of the East and West, the capital of Serbia is an incredibly rich mosaic of different cultures, influences and styles with a mysterious and exotic atmosphere. While Belgrade’s rich history makes itself reminded throughout the city, most notably in the old Belgrade Fortress, Belgrade features an abundance of cultural attractions and a wide range of events that draw visitors from across Europe.
Belgrade - Day 02
After breakfast start of panoramic sightseeing tour of Belgrade during which you will see: New Belgrade, Gardos Tower, Zemun – Charming old town on Danube banks, Dedinje – Elite part of Belgrade, Parliament, Presidency, Belgrade Waterfront. Walking tour on Knez Mihajlova pedestrian zone – Center of Belgrade, and Kalemegdan fortress. We will also visit St Sava Temple, the Church of Saint Sava is a Serbian Orthodox church which sits on the Vračar plateau in Belgrade, Serbia. It was planned as bishopric seat and the main cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Bogdan Nestorović and Aleksandar Deroko were the chosen architects after an unsuccessful competition in 1926. It is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox church buildings and ranks among the largest church buildings in the world. It is a landmark building of Belgrade with a dominating dome that resembles that of the Hagia Sophia after which it had been designed
Zlatibor - Day 03
Morning departure from Belgrade and drive along beautiful slopes of central Serbia – Šumadija to Topola. This small town rich in history will tell us a tale about royal family Karadjordjevic, whose history began here. Karadjordje Petrovic, the leader of the First Serbian Uprising and founder of the Karadjordjevic Royal dynasty was born here, Famous gorgeous mosaics in the Church and in the crypt are the best achievements of fresco painting in Serbia. The house of Petar Karadjordjevic, opposite the Church built in 1912, was the summer residence of the King. This area is known for the world famous wine production. Visit to the famous winery and big traditional lunch and tasting of 5 sorts of wines, with magic view over the wine yards of Oplenac region. Enjoy overnight stay in Zlatibor
Belgrade - Day 04
Drvengrad, on Mećavnik in Mokra Gora, is a place created by Emir Kusturica and somewhere he has continued to create for ten years. The settlement is formed from old, ‘Dinaric-style’ ancient log cabins from Mt. Tara, adapted as minimally as possible to suit the needs of the modern day. And it is in this commingling of creations, past, present and future, in this ‘settlement of artistic and creative provenance’ that Emir’s three live action feature films, two feature -length documentaries, two festivals –‘Kustendorf’ and ‘Bolshoi’, whose tradition can now never be denied, two books, much music, and another town, Andrićgrad, have their origins. Next we take ride on the scenic Sargan 8 Train Ride. This railroad was a link between Europe and the Adriatic Sea. From Belgrade to Dubrovnik and Zelenika, a narrow - gauge railway from 760 mm, from 1925 to 1974 through tunnels, across bridges and through mountain caves were driven by the famous train "Cira" leaving behind recognizable smell of steam locomotive smoke.Part of this railway line from the station Šargan Vitasi to Mokra Gora,which represents a unique construction work, was ripped away from oblivion and the well -known Šargan "eighth" again reverberates the clapping a wagon and a cheerful conversation in train "Nostalgia". From Mokra Gora to Šargan Vitasi Station you will pass through 22 tunnels, over five bridges and during your ride, you will have the opportunity to enjoy magnificent beauty of nature of this region from one of the viewpoints. Finally we head to Stopica Cave. Stopića cave is situated on the north-eastern side of Zlatibor Mountain. Stopića cave is a river cave with the Trnavski stream flowing through it. It consists of three speleological and hydrologic horizons. Without its youngest system Stopića cave is 1,691.5m long, it covers the area of 7,911.5m2. Overnight in Belgrade
