Auckland - Day 01
On arrival you will be met and privately transferred to your accommodation. Auckland is New Zealand's largest city, set between two harbours with gentle sandy shores on the east coast and black sand, wild surf beaches on the west coast. Make your way up the Sky Tower for a panoramic introduction to the city. Overnight in Auckland
Auckland - Day 02
Travel to Northland’s west coast, home to ancient kauri forests, wild windswept beaches and harbors and historic country towns. Visit the fascinating Kauri Museum before a walk through the majestic Waipoua forest with its magnificent kauri tree. Take a lunch break at the beachside settlement of Opononi and visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds for a guided tour and cultural performance. Overnight: in Paihi
Auckland - Day 03
Start the day on a cruise to the iconic Hole in the Rock. Departing from Paihia Wharf, cruise out through the Bay’s pristine islands and along the Cape Brett Peninsula with an informative commentary from your knowledgeable skipper. See the historic Cape Brett lighthouse and majestic Motu kokako, the Hole in the Rock, and hope for a lucky drip from above as you pass underneath it. The Bay of Islands is home to a host of marine mammals, wildlife and native birds. Keep an eye out for dolphins throughout your 4.5-hour adventure. Stop off at Otehei Bay on Urupukapuka Island to relax or soak up the views from the hilltops. Return to Auckland through the beaches and bays of Northland's east coast. Overnight in Auckland
Paihia - Day 04
Journey through the lush green farmlands to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Your guide will take you on an exploration of the stalactites, stalagmites and lime columns, before descending even further underground for a cruise on the grotto river with thousands of glowworms glittering above. Your journey then continues on to the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua. Overnight in Rotorua
Rotorua - Day 05
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Visit Rotorua’s most popular geothermal parks. At Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, the amazingly colorful hot springs and moon-like landscapes are key features. At Waimangu Volcanic Valley, you’ll discover how the world began in this spectacular regenerating geothermal park. The evening highlight is an entertaining cultural performance, including traditional hangi meal and warrior canoe display.
Rotorua - Day 06
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Today's tour takes you to the popular Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided walking tour past the colourful Hobbit Holes that scatter the hillsides. Make a visit inside the charming Hobbit dwelling and capture an authentic glimpse of daily life in the Shire. Finish with a visit to the Green Dragon Inn for a beverage and a sumptuous lunch at the Party Marquee. Overnight in Auckland
Rotorua - Day 07
Today it’s time to say goodbye to Auckland. We will proceed to Auckland Airport for flight to Onward Destination.
