Cairns - Day 01
Arrive at Cairns International Airport. One of the vibrant cities of North Queensland, Cairns is known for its tropical climate, stunning natural beauty, and proximity to some of the world’s most famous natural wonders, like the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. On arrival, we will pick-up our self-drive vehicle from Cairns Airport & transfer to our hotel in Cairns. Evening we head (on own) to Cairns Esplanade which is famous for saltwater lagoon, walking & biking paths along with some of the stunning views of the coral sea
Cairns - Day 02
Enjoy breakfast at hotel. Today we head to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures to see crocodiles & local wildlife in the North. You can see an array of wildlife, including tropical birds, wallabies, reptiles and other native fauna. Enjoy our entertaining and educational wildlife presentations. Daily presentations include: 9.00am Crocodile Farm Tour, 10.00 Crocodile Farm Tour, 11.00 Crocodile Feeding Presentation, 1.00pm Crocodile Farm Tour, 2.00 Snake Show, 3.00pm Crocodile Attack Show, 4.00pm Cassowary Feeding, 4.30pm Koala Talk. Take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon to see crocodiles and other wildlife inhabiting the melaleuca wetland
Cairns - Day 03
Drive yourself to the Skyrail Smithfield Terminal, where our representative will check you in and issue you with our Kuranda Boarding Pass. This includes a detailed itinerary with timings, as well as your Kuranda Scenic Rail and Skyrail tickets, allowing you to proceed straight to the boarding area. You can then board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, enjoying an unforgettable journey over and through the world’s oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest. There are two stops along the way to disembark and explore. Once you arrive in Kuranda, there is free time allowed to explore this unique village. Use the discount vouchers on your Kuranda Boarding Pass, or visit the Heritage Markets which operate daily. There are plenty of Cafés and Restaurants to purchase your own food. At the designated time, make your way to Kuranda Station for your historic Kuranda Scenic Rail journey, one of the most unique rail journeys in Australia. Sit back and relax as this famous railway winds its way from Kuranda to Freshwater Station, passing spectacular waterfalls and into the beautiful Barron Gorge. Disembark at Freshwater Station to board the shuttle bus back to Skyrail, where your car is waiting
Port Douglas - Day 04
Enjoy drive from Cairns to Port Douglas through one of the most scenic road trips in Queensland. This journey along the Captain Cook Highway takes you through lush tropical landscapes, stunning coastal views, and past some of the region's most famous beaches such as Trinity Beach, Palm Cove, Rex Lookout, Wangetti Beach etc. Afternoon we head to “Sunset Sailing Catamaran”. Enjoy the thrill of pure sailing! Soak up the peace and tranquility of a tropical sunset over the Coral Sea as you sail along the coast off Port Douglas. Take in the ambient music, relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the spectacular mountain views while enjoying a welcome drink and delicious canapes
Port Douglas - Day 05
Today we proceed for Full Day Excursion to Cape Tribulation with Mossman Gorge. Heading north, your first stop is Mossman Gorge, the southern sector of Daintree National Park. Carved out by the mountain waters of the Mossman River, which winds through large granite boulders, the gorge is bordered by lush green forest. Participate in a Welcome to Country with traditional owners, the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people, who cleanse you of evil spirits with a smoke ceremony and apply traditional rainforest body paint to your skin. Then enjoy a refreshing swim in the cascading waters of Mossman Gorge. Continuing North, arrive at the Daintree River where you will head out on the river for a wildlife cruise. You might spot a crocodile while learning about the fragile ecosystem of this serpent-like river system. Next stop is for lunch at Turtle Rock Cafe, then explore the ancient rainforest environment on a tour along the Marrdja Botanical Boardwalk with a highly trained guide providing rainforest interpretation. Marvel at the diversity of vegetation, from low-lying ferns and shrubs to the massive rainforest canopy and even mangrove ecosystems, all in one short easy walk. Then next is journey to one of the beaches in the Cape Tribulation region, where the rainforest meets the reef. This is one of the best photo ops of the day and the ideal place to be wowed by the natural beauty of this little corner of the planet. Make a quick stop at Daintree Ice Cream Company for a refreshing ice cream (optional and at own expense). Then hop back on your tour bus for the return journey to Port Douglas arriving approximately 5.30pm
Port Douglas - Day 06
Today we transfer you to Cairns International Airport (using Self Drive) vehicle. We hope you enjoyed your time in Queensland.
